Community owner setup
The full path from application to an active STRYK community.
Run a Telegram community? This is the full path from application to an active STRYK community.
The key thing to know: approval does not connect your Telegram chat for you. It only unlocks the setup step you complete in Telegram.
Approval unlocks setup. Your Telegram community goes live only after you add the STRYK Bot and complete verification.
Status guide
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Application Under Review | Application submitted. STRYK will review it before community tools unlock. |
| Approved to Connect | Approved. Connect the STRYK bot to continue. |
| Community Pending Review | Bot connected. STRYK is checking the community setup. |
| Active | Your community is verified and ready to run campaigns. |
| Action Required | A setup step needs your attention. |
| Suspended | Community actions are temporarily unavailable. |
The full setup
1. Sign in to STRYK
Use the STRYK account you want attached to the community.
Then open Communities.
2. Apply to connect
Choose Apply to Connect and submit the application.
One application can be open at a time. You can withdraw an application while it is still waiting for review.
Submitting the application does not create a community or connect a Telegram chat.
3. Wait for the review
STRYK reviews the application and can:
- approve it,
- reject it,
- ask for changes.
The decision and any reviewer note appear on the Communities page.
If approved, your next step happens in Telegram.
4. Connect the Telegram bot
Open the private STRYK bot and send /community, then choose Register a Community.
Choose the chat
For a public group or channel, use its @username or t.me link.
For a private group, add the STRYK bot first and choose the chat from the list the bot gives you.
Give the bot only the permissions it needs
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Post messages | Project, campaign and milestone posts |
| Edit its own messages | Keep live campaign cards up to date |
| Delete its own messages | Remove its own cancelled/outdated posts |
The bot does not need permission to manage members or admins.
Telegram channels require the bot to be an admin with permission to post. Groups can use either an admin role or a group permission that allows the bot to send messages.
Set your payout wallet
Enter the Base 0x wallet you want the community to use for payouts under the current Community flow.
Use a wallet you control.
What STRYK checks
Before the community is created, STRYK checks that:
- you are an owner/admin of the chat,
- the bot is present,
- the bot can post,
- the chat is not already registered,
- the wallet address is valid.
If a check fails, the bot tells you what needs fixing instead of creating a half-finished community.
5. Community verification
Once the Telegram connection passes, the community enters Pending Review.
After STRYK verifies the community, it becomes Active. Your link works, posting can start and campaigns become available.
Community attribution
The community link starts a rolling attribution window for the user who opens it.
A general community link runs for 24 hours. A later valid community touch refreshes or replaces the previous one under the active attribution rules.
A Call is separate: it runs for 7 days, applies only to the project it called, and is not replaced by an ordinary community touch. A live campaign outranks both.
A trade is credited to one community only.
Funding campaigns
Community campaigns must be funded before they can go live.
Use the supported funding sources shown in the bot. Funds stay reserved while they are locked to the campaign.
See Community program for the campaign types and payout rules.
If setup gets stuck
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The bot cannot see this channel yet | Add the bot as a channel admin with permission to post, then try again. |
| The bot still needs to be added | Add it to the Telegram chat and repeat the step. |
| The bot cannot send messages in this group | Allow it to send messages or make it an admin. |
| You must be an owner or admin | Run setup from a Telegram account that has the required role. |
| This chat is already registered | Do not create a duplicate. Contact STRYK support/admin instead. |
| Registration expired | Start again with /community. |
| Continue without partner attribution? | The partner link can no longer provide attribution. You can continue without it or stop and resolve the link first. |
| Connect your STRYK account first | Link Telegram to your STRYK account, then restart registration. |
